Updates
Smaller improvements and fixes, newest first. New features and big changes get their own post in What's New.
November 3, 2026
Alongside the redesign in What's New:
- Detect Paycheck now finds a paycheck that comes twice a month even when it lands a few days early around weekends, and never picks a few cents of interest as your paycheck.
- A setting changed on one device or tab is no longer undone by another one that was already open.
- Spending Insights opened from a Pocket or a category no longer uses the filters you set on Transactions, and totals include the pay period you're in.
- Receipt scanning (Premium) is limited to 20 scans a day.
- Ongoing improvements to the Shared Pockets beta.

Your money, counted right
- Funding now happens at your midnight. Pockets picks up your time zone from your device, and automatic funding, due-date reminders and other daily notifications run at midnight where you are. If your device's time zone changes, we'll ask before switching. Change it any time in Profile → Preferences → Time Zone.
- A bill that's past due and still unpaid keeps its money for that bill, so nothing carries over to the next one until you link the payment. Amount Due also says what's still needed: "Need $63.47 by Nov 2".
- If a Pocket changes while you have it open (a payday funds it, or a transaction is linked), saving asks what to keep instead of overwriting it.
- Savings Goals without a goal amount show just what's Pocketed, instead of measuring against the Fund Amount.
Pockets
- Sorting by Due Date puts Pockets due the same day in order of funding amount, largest first.
- Manage Categories can sort by Custom, Name or Number of Pockets, and shows how many Pockets use each category.
Credit cards
- With Credit Card Integration on, a card's Pocket now works out its own Amount Due: your last statement, from one billing date to the next. The top of the Pocket shows what's Pocketed against everything you owe, and if it's short, paydays fund your statement by its due date and newer purchases by the next one.
- Catch Up on a card's Pocket covers your purchases since your last billing date. Pockets knows the billing dates for Capital One, Citi and Synchrony cards, reads them from interest charges, or lets you set yours with ⋮ → Set Bill Date.
- Paying your card from checking now links the payment to the card's Pocket automatically, like any bill, and moves its due date on.
Receipts (Premium)
- Receipts are read far more accurately. The photo is cropped to the receipt and read at full sharpness, and the totals are checked: the items, tax and payments have to add up, or it takes a second look. If anything still doesn't add up, the review tells you.
- Paid more than one way? Tap Split next to the payment to divide the receipt across cards or cash. Each payment becomes its own transaction, with its own Pocket.
- Paid partly in cash with no cash account? Pockets asks: Create Cash Account, or Ignore to leave the cash part out.
- If a receipt looks like it's already been added, Merge Into It puts its items on the transaction that's already there instead of adding a second one.
Adding and itemizing
- Add Transaction can split one purchase across several accounts too, each with its own Pocket and Update Balance. Works for refunds to more than one card as well.
- Itemize right on Add Transaction, with the Itemize button under the Pocket.
- Drag item lines into order by the bars on their left, on the Items screen, the receipt review and Add Transaction.
- Tapping an item's description widens it, so you can read the whole thing while you type.
Suggested Pockets
- Suggestions now go by where you've put that store before, even when the amount is different, so a store you've used for Shopping won't get suggested into some other Pocket just because of its category.
- Picking No Pocket over a suggestion now sticks.
Funds and Profile
- On Funds, + Funding Schedule and + Account sit at the top of their sections, and each funding schedule opens as its own screen.
- Send Feedback is now Contact Support, in a new Support section of Profile, right under the new Help Center.
- Passwords need at least 8 characters, and accounts that sign in with Google can add a password in Profile.
- "Number Format" is now "Currency Format" in Preferences.
Smaller fixes
- The day-of-month picker in a Pocket's frequency has a Done button, like the date picker.
- Ongoing improvements to the Shared Pockets and bank notification betas.
October 23, 2026
We redesigned the Edit Pocket screen to make it easier to read and tell you more at a glance.
- A progress bar now sits at the top with a key under it, so you can see what's in the Pocket, what it's for, and what's left to fund without doing the math.
- Each amount explains itself on the line under it: when your next funding lands ("Funding $162.50 on Oct 30"), how much is left to fund, and a Catch Up or Top Up button right under Pocketed when one applies.
- Tap any underlined amount to change it. Pocketed lets you set the amount, or add or remove money, in one place.
- Every change shows across the screen as you make it, before you save.
- "Amount Needed" is now "Amount Due".
- Linking a transaction to a Savings Goal Pocket no longer shows "Advance Due Date" as an option.
- Ongoing improvements to the Shared Pockets and bank notification betas.
October 14, 2026
- If you add transactions by hand, moving money between your accounts now takes one entry: on Add Transaction, choose Transfer, pick where it comes from and where it goes, and both sides are added for you.
- Long press to select transactions or Pockets is steadier: the one you press stays put, and letting go right after the buzz no longer cancels it.
- A Spending Fund already feeding one Savings Goal can be switched to another from that goal's Spending Fund Pockets list.
- Ongoing improvements to the Shared Pockets beta.

Notifications
- Choose which optional emails you get: New Features, Feature Highlights, App Updates and Marketing each have their own switch, and unsubscribing from one of those emails turns off just that kind. Emails about your account, like a bank that needs you to sign in again, always send.
- No longer sending duplicate notifications when pending transactions settle.
- Resolved notifications not arriving on time.
Bank connections
- You'll now get a notification and an email when your bank needs you to sign in again, so your transactions don't fall out of date.
Pockets
- Savings Goals have a new Stop Funding at Goal setting, on by default. When you're close to your goal, only what's left is funded, and nothing more once you reach it. See What's New.
- Shared Savings Goals (beta): choose whether funding stops at the group's Total Goal or at your Personal Goal.
Smaller fixes
- In Spending Insights, tap Total or Average to switch between them. The ? explains how the number is worked out.
October 10, 2026
- Select multiple Pockets: long press a Pocket, or tap ⋮ → Select Pockets, to select several at once. Tap Actions to assign a category, pause or resume, archive, or delete them together.
- Shared Pockets is in beta: share a Pocket with someone so you can both track it together, and split who covers what. Sharing a Pocket requires Premium, but the person you share with doesn't need it. Turn on Beta Features (Profile → Preferences) to try it.
October 6, 2026
- Move items on an itemized transaction to a different Pocket (Items ⋮ → Move to Different Pocket).
- Leaving without saving now asks whether you want to discard your changes.
- Beta access to new features is in the app: turn on Beta Features in Profile → Preferences to try transactions from bank notifications.
October 5, 2026
- Move a transaction you entered by hand to a different account (open the transaction, ⋮ → Change Account).
- Manual accounts can now change type, such as savings to checking (account ⋮ → Change Account Type).
- Reorder the account types on the Funds page (⋮ → Reorder Account Types).
October 4, 2026
- Manual credit card balances now update as you add transactions.
- Adding a manual credit card now asks you to set up its payment Pocket. Cards that already have Credit Card Integration on but no payment Pocket will be asked once, the next time you open the app.
- Pull down to refresh now works when Pockets is added to your iPhone home screen.
- Fixed linking Pockets on iPhone, where it didn't save and a different transaction opened.
- Fixed the ⋮ menu on an account sometimes slipping down behind the bottom navigation bar after it opened.
October 3, 2026
- You can now add the last four digits of your cards, or of the account itself, to any account (⋮ → Cards). Receipts and bank notifications that mention those digits are then matched to the right account, including manual accounts.
- Send Feedback is now on the Profile page, so you can report a bug, request a feature or ask a question from inside the app.
- Notifications are clearer. They say what happened and what was left in the Pocket. When a transaction changed your Good to Go, they say what it is now.
- You are now notified when you have a past due Pocket with no linked transactions, with the option to link the first transaction.
- Transactions that haven't matched a bank transaction yet now carry a "Not synced" badge.
- You can turn notifications off for a single account (account ⋮ → Notifications).
- Fixed an issue with typing in dates so it no longer stops you from editing an existing date value.
October 2, 2026
- Pockets with a $0 Amount Due, like a credit card Pocket when the card has a $0 balance, now move to their next due date automatically.
- Fixed the CSV transaction import "Import" button not responding.
September 30, 2026
- Credit card accounts can now be enabled on Basic so long as they are included in your 1 free connection. Credit Card Integration (setting money aside for each purchase) or more than 1 connection requires Premium.
- Fixed an issue where manual accounts were being disabled on Basic. Manual accounts no longer count as a connection.
September 29, 2026 Everything since August 17
Your money, counted right
- Pending charges that post now keep their Pocket. Before, a Pocket could be charged twice for one purchase.
- Split transactions now count correctly in Spending Insights. Each Pocket only gets charged its part of the split, not the whole purchase.
- If a bill is due before your next paycheck can cover it, the funding plan now tells you it's short instead of quietly spreading it across future paychecks.
- Archived Pockets no longer hold money or pick up new auto-matches. Paused Pockets still work normally.
- Good to Go loads faster and no longer shows a wrong number for a split second when the app opens.
Transactions
- Manual transactions can be switched between money in and money out from the ⋮ menu.
- Manual pending transactions now match against your bank's pending transactions too, not just posted ones.
- Linking a manual transaction to a Pocket now moves its due date forward, just like a bank transaction does.
- Unlinking a transaction always offers to put the Pocket's due date back.
Pockets
- Search now shows Pockets whose names match first, then ones that match by category or transaction.
- Archive and Delete are now in each Pocket card's ⋮ menu.
- Deleting a Pocket keeps its history instead of erasing it.
Smaller fixes
- Spending Insights' chart button now cycles through donut, bars, and a trend line.
- Fix for categories briefly flashing as "Uncategorized" while loading. Renaming a category also no longer breaks a filter using it.
- Text fields on phones now scroll into view above the keyboard, and the bottom bar stays out of the way.
- Free accounts can now have as many manual accounts as you like.
August 17, 2026
- Spending Insights. See What's New.
- Pocket History: every change to a Pocket's money.
- A budget summary of what your paychecks fund.
- Funding and bank details moved to their own Funds tab.
- An easter egg for you to find, plus a ton of smaller improvements.
August 2, 2026
- Add manual accounts and manual transactions, no bank connection required. See What's New.
- Amounts show in your own currency's format: $9,000.42, €9,000.42 or 9000,42 zł.
- Bank connections now work in 20 supported countries, not just the US.
July 31, 2026
- Good to Go no longer shows −$0.00; it shows $0.00.
July 29, 2026
- Linking a credit card now prompts you to create or link a Credit Card Pocket.
- Clearer wording in the info pop-ups.
