Common Questions
What is Good to Go?

It's what's safe to spend right now: the balances of the accounts you include, minus everything you've set aside in your Pockets. More about Good to Go.

Why is my Good to Go negative?

Your Pockets hold more than your accounts do. Assign recent purchases to their Pockets, or take money out of a Pocket you won't need before payday. What to do when it's negative.

Why doesn't Good to Go match my bank balance?

It's your balance minus everything in your Pockets: $3,109.20 in the bank with $2,799.00 Pocketed is $310.20 Good to Go.

What's a Pocket?

Money set aside for one thing, like rent, groceries or a trip. It isn't a separate bank account: it's part of your real balance, reserved so you don't spend it on something else.

Why didn't my Pockets fund at midnight on payday?

Good to Go couldn't cover it yet, usually because the paycheck hadn't landed. Pockets funds once it does, and the night after payday it funds no matter what. How funding works.

What do "Behind" and Catch Up mean?

A bill is Behind when the paydays left before it's due can't fully fund it. Catch Up moves the shortfall into the Pocket now, from Good to Go.

What happens when I spend from a Pocket?

Assign the transaction to the Pocket and it spends from the Pocket instead of Good to Go. Spend more than it holds, and the rest comes out of Good to Go. Assigning transactions.

Will a pending charge lose its Pocket when it posts?

No. It keeps its Pocket, and any split, and the Pocket isn't charged twice.

What's the difference between pausing and archiving a Pocket?

Pausing only stops payday funding, and the Pocket keeps its money. Archiving gives the money back to Good to Go and moves the Pocket to Archived, with its history kept. Managing Pockets.

Can I change a Pocket's type after saving it?

Yes. Open it, tap ⋮, then Change Pocket Type.

My bank says it needs me to sign in again.

Open Funds and tap Reconnect Needed, then sign in to your bank. Nothing is lost while it waits, and everything catches up once you sign in. Connecting your bank.

Is Pockets by Hoopy free?

Yes. Pockets, funding and Good to Go are free, with one bank connection and unlimited manual accounts. Premium adds more; here's what.

How do I cancel Premium?
