Put It on Your Phone
Add Pockets by Hoopy to your home screen and it opens full screen, like any other app. There's nothing to download from an app store.
iPhone
- Open pockets.byhoopy.app in Safari and sign in.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Open Pockets by Hoopy from its new icon on your Home Screen.
Want push notifications? On iPhone they only work from the Home Screen icon. Once it's there, turn them on from inside the app.
Android
- Open pockets.byhoopy.app in Chrome and sign in.
- If an Install Pockets bar appears at the bottom, tap Install.
- No bar? Tap Chrome's ⋮ menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app, and confirm.
- Open Pockets by Hoopy from its new icon.
Pull down to refresh
At the top of any screen, drag down and let go. The app reloads with your latest balances and transactions, and picks up any new version of the app at the same time.
Questions
Is it a different app from the website?
No. It's the same Pockets by Hoopy, with the same sign-in and the same data. The home-screen icon just opens it without the browser around it.
Do I need to update it?
No. Updates arrive on their own the next time you open it.
What happens with no signal?
You'll see an Offline banner and your last saved Pockets, balances and transactions. You can look, but editing is off until you're back online, so nothing changes on one device that another hasn't seen.
